Divination For Healing

The source of divination is the consciousness that is the framework we are all built on. That is why it works for everyone. There is nothing outside of this consciousness. The beautiful thing about oracle cards, tarot cards, the Table of Ifa, the I Ching, flipping coins, tea leaves, animal appearances and all the other forms of divination is that we can read clear messages from them. When we ask for a sign and then wait for it to arrive in our life its easy to doubt it or to create messages out of everything. This can drive people crazy. They can either think God is telling them to do all kinds of stuff or believe that there is no god or whoever they are they obviously don’t care about them. We are all God, we are all a part of the Consciousness that permeates, frames and is everything. That is why you can put your intention out into the ether and real changes can be seen from that. If your intention is always for the Highest Good of All and you specifically say that before practicing divination that is what your message will lead you toward. This is how divination can lead to your healing and the healing of our world. You can implement a daily ritual into your life where you put out your intention to be guided toward playing your part in creating the Highest Good for All and you can have faith that the system that feels right for you, is. There is so much power in following your intuition. In learning to believe yourself. For example, you want to start pulling one tarot card a day for guidance. You state your intention, “I am pulling this card to receive Guidance from the benevolent source for the highest good of All, today I specifically would like to know if I should put in my two weeks, get my tires changed, take my dog to the vet, start drinking coffee again etc.” Whatever it is makes sure you use a system that feels good for you. If you use a deck and it puts a pit in the bottom of your stomach, its not the right one for you! If you feel like the origin of Tarot is sketchy then don’t use it! Try an oracle deck. My personal favorite Oracle deck is the The Flower Essence Deck Vol. 1 and 2. These are almost flash cards for flower essences. They have beautiful drawings on them and then just then two brief descriptions of how the flower creates balance and what imbalances it helps with. The descriptions come from The Flower Essence Society and the cards were designed by a local Denverite! Also, the cards themselves seem to work similarly to a flower essence themselves! There are thousands of oracle decks with books that can guide you in your interpretations so go to your local metaphysical store and pick one. I also really love the I Ching. You can either use I Ching coins or dry yarrow stalks to throw. The coins are simpler and there are directions at the back of most I Ching guide books. My favorite is A Guide To The I Ching by Carol K. Anthony.

There are so many forms of divination, try one and you may find that the Universe is magic.

Love, Bethany Anne Valentine
